M. Walters Awarded Tom French Cup
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 22. On the recommendation of the selectors, the Tom French Cup for the outstanding Maori Rugby player of the year has been awarded to Muru Walters, the Northland and New Zealand Maoris full-back. The announcement was made at today’s meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Rugbv Union.
