Public Address On P.A.Y.E.
The Workers’ Educational Association is assured of a good attendance at the fourth of its series of four public lectures. It will be an outline of the P.A.Y.E. system of taxation by Mr C. I. Carlyon, of the Treasury, Wellington. The first of the weekly lectures will be on the constitution of the Federd Republic of Germany by Mr Karl-Heinz Mulagk. He will also give the second lecture on the Federal Republic of Germany, its reconstruction and social development. Mr W. Rosenberg, a lecturer at Canterbury University College, will speak on Government finance in New Zealand, 1950-57, in the third lecture. The first of the lectures will be given tomorrow.
