Navy League Fair
A Navy League fair was hold in the drill hall of H.M.N.Z.S. p egasus on Saturday morning. The hall was decorated with red. white, and blue bunting and naval flags and emblems. More than £llO was raised to provide recreational facilities at H.M.N.Z.S Pegasus and amenities for sea cadets in Canterbury. The fair committee consisted of Mrs W. Thacker (convener). Mr C. W Collins (secretary). Captain G. H. Dennistoun. LieutenantCommander J. Washbourn Messrs A. R. Mackay, and B. Williams Lieutenant-Commissioner F. B Campbell, and Misses N. Nutt. A.' MrElwee, M. Adorian. Stall-holders were:—cakes. Mesdames W S Mac Gibbon. G W C Smithson. H. J Quarrell. F. B Campbell, and D. W Me vers raffles. Mesdames P. C Brown and H. Wyatt: produce. Mesdames G. G. Simpson. R. M Ollivier. and Smith: sewing. Mesdames M Wright, P. Nicholls and C. W Collins: sweets. Misses N. Nutt. M. Harris and J Weston and members of the Middle Watch: tea. Mesdames G. R. Alexander E. J. Bridgman. H. E Goggin. G Gunn, A. Morten. T. Raffele and E. A. Osmond-Smith; ice '•ream. Misses O. McElwee. J Brown and M. Adorian and junior memberschildren’s stall. Misses Marise Thacker and Adrienne Simpson
