C.O.R.S.O. Clothing Collection
The annual C.0.R.5.0. clothing appeal, postponed last Saturday because of rain will be held tomorrow in Christchurch and the suburbs of Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Akaroa and Belfast.
Pupils of all primary schools Under the direction of their headmasters will call at every home and householders are requested to leave parcels at the gate not later than 8.30 a.m., said the organiser (Mr G. H. Coley) yesterday. Army trucks will cover each school district to collect the clothing. Assistance will be given by members of the Boys’ Brigade, Toe H, the Round Table and other groups. Packing will begin in the C.0.R.5.0. Depot at the Addington Show Grounds on Monday and the help of both women and men would be much appreciated, said Mr Coley. A free bus will leave the safety zone in the square each morning at 9.30 a.m. for the packing depot, returning at 4 p.m.
