Life-Saving TAYLOR'S MISTAKE CLUB
At the annual meeting of the Taylor’s Mistake Surf Life-saving Club, the following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr G. N. Haxell; president, Mr K. Le Cren; senior vice-president, Mr K. Stoddart Brown; vice-presi-dents, 21 were elected; club captain, Mr P. Stead; vice-captain, Miss B. Breward; secretary, Mr R. Thompson; treasurer, Mr R. E. Russell; instructors, Messrs H. Hobson, G. Prattley, P. Stead, B. Peeble, Miss J. Phillips; boat captain, Mr H. Hobson; committee, Messrs B. Turpin, O. Pitcaithly, M. Duckmanton, H. Goldsmith. R. Phillips, B. Rattray, I. McDonald; gear steward, Mr B. Peeble; custodian, Mr B. Rattray; delegates to Canterbury Surf Life-saving Association, Messrs K. Le Cren, P. Stead; delegate to Royal Surf Life-saving Association, Miss B. Breward; honorary medical officers, Dr. J. D. Thompson and Dr. D. H. Symes; life members, Messrs A. T. F. Bolam, J. Flockhart, G. N. Haxell, C. Lange, M. Morrow, R. E. Russell, O. N. Turpin, J. C. Wallace, J. A. Young. Mr R. E. Russell was presented with a gift marking the club’s appreciation of his valuable work as secretary over the last 12 years.
