Two False Fire Alarms
Three units from the central station answered a call to Calder Mackay, Ltd.. Worcester street, at 3.2 p.m. The call, which was through an automatic alarm, proved to be false.
Another false alarm to the intersection of Barrington street and Cashmere road was answered at 10.50 p.m. yesterday. A telephone message to the central fire station reported a burst gas main in the area. One unit from Sydenham and one from the Central station answered the call.
