“Reign Of Terror” For Negro Pupils
(Rec. 10 p.m.) GREENSBORO (North Carolina), Sept. 1. A campaign of terror against negro students attending previously all-white schools and a programme of harassment against members of the Greensboro School Board which admitted the students, was outlined last night by John Kasper, a segregationist leader at a meeting of a white citizen’s council—an anti-negro group. Mr Kasper said white boys attending the school should spill ink on the books of negro students, elbow them in the school corridors, write slogans such as “Nigger go home” on the wails, and usevarious other pressures.
