Christchurch Beats Zingari
In the first match for the D. R. Craighead Memorial Cup, the Christchurch club’s senior team beat ZinSari (Timaru) at Rugby Park on aturday by 18 points (three goals from tries and a try) to three (a penalty). Scorers for Christchurch were C. Devine (two tries), B. McPhail (two tries), and T. George (three conversions). J. Bailey kicked a penalty goal for Zingari, with a drop-kick from five yards inside his own half.
