Railway Worker Injured
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 1. A 52-year-old railway worker, Mr Horace W. Jones, of Ohura. was seriously injured when his trolley jumped the rails three miles from Matiere on the Strat-ford-Okahukura line at 3 p.m. on Saturday. He was taken to the Taumarunui Hospital, where his condition was reported to be fair tonight. Mr Jones was alone on the manually-operated trolley when it left the rails and plunged down an embankment. He suffered injuries to his head, chest and back.
