Boxing McNALLY TO FIGHT SQUADRICO
Christchurch Bout Arranged
The Canterbury Boxing Association has announced that articles have been signed for a professional lightweight contest between the present New Zealand titleholder. Joe McNally. and the Australian. Nino Squadrico. The bout will be one of 10 three-minute rounds, and will be fought in the Civic Theatre on Thursday, September 12.
REPRESENTATIVES FOR GREYMOUTH Canterbury’s representatives at the 1957' New Zealand amateur boxing championships, to be held in Greymouth this month,' are M. Drury (featherweight). B. Maunsell (lightwelterweight). and R. Williams (welterweight). Another Canterbury featherweight, M. Purton, will compete In the championships for South Canterbury.
