KEROSENE OFTEN UNLABELLED Poison Cases in Fiji n Curres Suva The Medical Department in Fin is concerned at the number of children poisoned recently through drinking kerosene. Parents have been advised to keep kerosene well labelled and out of the reach of children. Kerosene, in some of the small shops, is supplied in lemonade or orange bottles, manv with their original labels, and a thirsty child would not think to smell the contents before drinking it. The department urges immediate treatment, as kerosene is absorbed quickly and must be washed aut of the system. Antidotes should be given by a qualified person.
