New Editor For “Daily Express”

Mr Edward Pickering has been appointed editor of the “Daily Express” to succeed Mr Arthur it was announced tonight by Beaverbrook Newspapers, Ltd.
Mr Pickering has been managing editor of the “Daily Express” for the last six years, under Mr Christiansen’s editorship. Mr Christiansen, a director of Beaverbrook Newspapers, Ltd., will continue with the group as executive director and consultant on editorial matters and will be director in charge of the development of new publications, the announcement said.
