SATURDAY (Before Mr E. H. Buckeridge, J.P., and Mr Wilfred Peers, J.P.) DRUNKENNESS On a charge of being found drunk in Hereford street on August 30, Vera Carter, aged 56, was convicted and fined £3, in default four days’ imprisonment. William John Carr, aged 53, was convicted on a charge of being found drunk in Riccarton on August 31 and was fined £5. REMANDED Gordon Ray Mclntyre, aged 25, a railway employee, was remanded to September 2 on a charge of assaulting Bartholomeus Hubertus Keestra on August 30. Bail was allowed in the sum of £lO with one surety of £lO.
