Addressograph For J.P. Lists
The Central Addressograph Service operated by the Government Printer is to be used by the Justice. Department to prepare lists of members of the Commission of the Peace in New Zealand, a body comprising New Zealand’s 8000 Justices of the Peace. Membership is constantly changing from new appointments, resignations, and deaths, so that the Justice Department has to review the lists every two years In order to compile up-to-date records of membership. Listing has, in the past, proved an expensive job and therefore the mechanical aid of the addressograph machine has been enlisted.
