WOMAN FOUND WOUNDED
“No Evidence Of Foul Play” (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 1. The Wellington police Stated tonight that after full investiga-. tion into the circumstaficeS surrounding the alleged stabbing yesterday morning of a woman in a bach in Turnbull- street, Thornton, the officers in charge of the case were satisfied there was no evidence of foul play A 35-year-old woman was admitted to Wellington Hospital shortly after six o’clock yesterday morning suffering from a serious wound in her stomach. An immediate, operation was performed, and though her condition when admitted was regarded as serious, the hospital authorities stated this evening that her condition is now satisfactory.
