Billiards Canterbury Junior Titles
The second round of the Canterbury junior billiards championships was played this week.
Results were:— Hewinson (W.W.M.C,) 250 (26,33,35) heat Martin (W.W.M.C.) 151; Shaw (P. and T.) 250 beat Leigh (P. and T.) 248; Aitken (N.B. R.S.A.) 250 (39) heat Foster (L.R.) 140; Philpott (New Brighton W.M.C.) 250 (34 unfinished> beat Livingstone (L.R.) 195: Mtntrom (WWM.C.) 250 (32) beat Hall (R.S.A.) 222 (24): Wright (A.A.C.) 250 (30) beat Knighton (W.M.C.) 922 (27): J. Pitcaithlv (W.M.C.) 250 beat McCormack (WWM.C) 139; Greaves (St.A. L.) won by default. The quarter-finals will be played on Monday. August 26. Hewinson will play Aitken, Shaw will play Greaves, Pitcaithly will play Wright, and Philpott will play Mintrom.
