Bill Hurley.aged 58, collapsed as the Taunton-Paddington express passed through the village bf Burnham at 60 miles an hour. For seconds after the driver collapsed, clutching his heart, the fireman, Ronald Giles, tried to revive him, the newspaper said. This failed, so Giles turned to the controls.
