HEAVY-WEIGHT TITLE BOUT

Pete Rademacher Confident (Rec. 10 p.m.) SEATTLE, Aug. 20. Pete Rademacher counted some 350 rounds of boxing, and hours of bag punching and skipping behind him today as he concluded major preparations for his attempt to win the world heavyweight boxing championship from Floyd Patterson on Thursday night. This is a considerable number of rounds for a bout that almost every critic suspects will riot last more than five. But Rademacher, .who won the heavy-weight Olympic Games gold medal in Melbourne and picked Patterson for his first fight as a professional, remained calm and amazingly confident. “I am in the best condition of my life,” Rademacher said. “I feel confident about my chances. Otherwise I would not have gone for this match.” Patterson, the 22-year-old stylish hitter from New York, rested at his camp. He completed his serious work yesterday.
