TWO PREMISES ENTERED

Ashburton Garage And Bottle Store

Two premises in Ashburton —a motor garage and a bottle store —were entered during the weekend. but little if any money or stock is believed to have been taken.

The Ashburton Licensing Trust’s bottle store in Alford Forest road, Allenton, was broken into some time during Saturday evening or early yesterday morning. The intruders gained entry by smashing a pane of glass in a door at the front of the store, and unlatching the door. A cash register taken from the Allenton, -service station, owned by Mr J. D. Keeling, in Harrison street, was recovered from the

irrigation channel in Pole road yesterday. It is believed that only a small sum of money was contained in the register. Entry was gained by breaking a panel in the front door.
