MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Six persons were charged with theft and one with indecent ai« sault before Messrs G. L. Pom-fret-Dodd and A. H. H. Martin, Justices of the Peace, in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday. All were remanded to appear on August 8. Bail was allowed in sums varying between £25 and £75, with sureties. Leonard John Cleaver, aged 22, a metal polisher, was remanded on a charge of stealing a bundle of combination overalls, valued at £2l, the property of Deanes, Ltd. Brian Leslie King, aged 23, was charged with indecently assaulting a girl at South Brighton on August 1. Bail was allowed at £75, with one surety of £75. Colin Rolfe Jensen was remanded on a charge of stealing, on July 31, an air pistol valued at £5 15s, the property of Colin O’Brien. Raymond Anthony Farrington, aged 21, Leslie Charles Hopkinson, aged 25, and Alexander John Nees, aged 21, were charged with stealing at North Loburn. between July 15 and 19. two tractor wheels, a plough, a scoop, a drawbar and several other items valued together at £B5, the property of Edward Prattley. Bail of £75 was allowed. Two youths, whose names were suppressed until they appear on remand on August 8. were charged jointly w’ith the theft of a motor-cycle petrol tank cap and a throttle, valued at 6s, the property of McCleary Motors.
