SHEEPDOG TRIALS Mayfield Collie Club’s Events
In spite of most unfavourable weather, especially on the second day, the standard reached in the Mayfield Collie Dog Club’s trials was fairly high. The trials were conducted over three days Entries in the open classes were slightly fewer than last year, although those from the district were appreciably more. Competitors from North and South Canterbury, as well as the Ashburton county, participated. Results were:— Long Pull and Hold in Ring.—Open: R. Haines’s Bill, 97 points. 1; T.
