WRESTLING AUSTRALIAN TEAM
Visit To N.Z. In July
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 19. Highlight of the year for the New Zealand amateur wrestlers will be the visit of an Australian team in July. Thirteen wrestlers and two officials will make the trip. Eight appearances, including a test against New Zealand, will be made during the tour, which begins on July 10 and ends on July 28. Messrs H. J. Ashby (Auckland), A. P. Craig (Christchurch), and D. McColl (Napier), who selected New Zealand’s Olympic wrestling team, will again choose the New Zealand side, and Mr R. Baker (Dunedin) will be manager.
The itinerary is:— July 11, Otago-Southland, at Dunedin; July 13, Canterbury, at Christchurch; July 16, New Zealand, at Wellington: July 18, Wellington, at a provincial centre; July 20, Hawke’s Bay, at Napier; July 22, Rotorua district, at Rotorua; July 24; Waikato, at Hamilton;. July 27, Auckland, at Auckland.
