BATTLE FLING MAY WIN
Greymouth On Monday
Battle Fling, which finished third to Omega and Next Time in the Cheviot Cup at her last start, should gain a long overdue win in the Westland Handicap, the second leg of the double at the Greymouth Trotting Club’s autumn meeting at Victoria Park on Monday. Most opposition to Battle Fling may come from Clue, Fair Lead, Dafewen and Lord Mackworth. The first leg will be run on the Eclipse Handicap, in which the chances of Lady Attack, Seagull, and Zetland are highly regarded. Selections are:— 11.30 a.m.—Rimu Handicap: Superway, Coming Down, Ebony Scott. 12.15 p.m.—Eclipse Handicap: Lady Attack, Seagull, Zetland. 12.55 p.m.—Richmond Handicap: Buren, Zelmira, Black Satin. 1.45 p.m.—Westland Handicap Battle Fling, Clue, Fair Lead. 2.25 p.m.—Otira Handicap: Coming Down, Superway, Wairau Princess. 3.10 p.m.—Easter Handicap: Solemnity, Lady Attack. Zetland. 3 55 p.m.—Autumn Handicap: First Division Gay Alabama,' Buren; Second Division—Homebrook, Modest. 4.40 p.m.—Au Revoir Handicap: Fair Lead, Charlotte Bell, Battle Fling. Fields, with form, for the doubles races are:— ECLIPSE HANDICAP, Of £250. 3min 52sec class. One mile and five furlongs.
