The Annual Citizens’ Anzac Day Service will be held in the King Edward Barracks, Cashel street, Christchurch, on THURSDAY, APRIL 25, 1957, at 2.30 p.m. Vice-Admiral Sir John Collins, C. 8., High Commissioner for Australia, will deliver the address. The Anzac Parade will fall in at Cranmer square at 1.45 p.m. and march direct to the King Edward Barracks via Montreal street. Immediately after the Service of Commemoration the parade will reassemble outside the Barracks and proceed to Cathedral square via Oxford terrace and Worcester street. All returned servicemen and servicewomen are urged to attend this parade. Dress: Mufti and Medals. CENOTAPH: At 4.00 p.m. (approximately) wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph by Vice-Admiral Sir John Collins, C. 8., acting on behalf of the Government of Australia, and the Hon. J. R. Marshall, Attorney-General, on behalf of the New Zealand Government. FIELD OF REMEMBRANCE. At the conclusion of the Dawn Service arranged by the Australian Returned Services’ Association, the ceremony of placing the Poppy "In Remembrance” will be held at the Godley Plot.
