Nothing But The Best For Redwalls-Timoshenko, A Cat

AUCKLAND, April 19. Timmy, a £65 chincilia cat, proved a fastidious passenger in the freighter, Papanui. He was taken on board in London in a wooden crate, but by the time the ship reached Auckland yesterday he was occupying the cabin of the ship’s master, Captain E. Williams. Used to the privileges of home andxhearth, Timmy began to pine away in the confines of his cage. He refused to eat. Once released, he quickly made his home in one of the captain’s arm chairs. After vain attempts to coax Timmy back to his box, Captain Williams bowed to the inevitable. He let him stay, and even ended

up by brushing and combing him on odd occasions. Timmy was bought in England by Miss Kathleen Yorke for an Auckland cat fancier, Mrs B. M. Downey. Miss Yorke, of Hertfordshire, a well-known world authority on cats, visited New Zealand last year to judge the Auckland club championships, and sent her own cat—Pinky Yorke—airmail letters while she was away. Pinky sent replies back. Timmy’s full name is RedwallsTimoshenko and he has an illustrious mother and younger sister, ‘which both caused quite a sensation in England when they I appeared on television.
