Canal Tolls Payment
(Rec. 8 p.m.) CAIRO, March 21. The Egyptian Canal authorities will accept the payment of Suez Canal tolls in any “transferable*’ currency, Mr Mustafa Niazi, the chief Public Relations Officer of the Authority, said tonight. Mr Niazi said: “We are accepting the same currencies we accepted before last November with the exception of British sterling and French francs which at present are non-transferable to Egypt as they are frozen by these countries.”
