SPEEDBOAT RACING
MARLBOROUGH POWER BOAT CLUB Excellent racing, with particularly close finishes, was a feature of the Marlborough Power Boat Club’s second championship meeting of the season, which was held on the Wairau river at Blenheim on Saturday. Results were:— South Island 225 c.i. Hydroplane Championship.—Joe Pe, R. Gill (Marlborough), 1; Little Smokey, C. D. ‘Broadbridge (Marlborough), 2; Faye, R. Boddington (Marlborough), 3. Marlborough 135 c.i. Open Championship (Cuddon Cup).—Pacific Spot, D. V. Syme (Canterbury), 1; Little Smokey, C. D. Broadbvidge (Marlborough), 2; Faye, R. Boddington (Marlborough), 3.
