NO CHANGE IN DEER HUNTING LAW
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, March 7. Feeling ran high in the House of Commons today over the Government’s refusal to make the hunting of deer with hounds illegal. A Conservative member oi Parliament. Mr Howard Johnston, urged the Government to ban this sport after a recent incident in which a hind was drowned by the Devon and Somerset staghounds. The Joint Home Under-Secre-tary (Mr Jocelyn Simon) said the' Government was not prepared to change the law on this controversial subject
