Helicopter Shot Down
(K.Z. Press Association—Copyright) <Rec. 12.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 1. A French gamekeeper, Michel Renard, was infuriated by the y°ar of Army helicopters hovering low over his fields near Versailles. So he took a pot at one w ith buckshot. He shot it down —a direct hit Oh the rotor blades, according to the “News Chronicle” today. In Court, his lawyers said that dozens of neighbours had thanked Renard. But Renard was fined £5O, with a suspended sentence. and ordered to pay £lOO damages for repairs to the helicopter.
