Shares cf World Trade.—Western Europe’s share of world trade increased from 40.5 per cent, in 1951 to 44.2 per cent, in 1955. A considerable part of this increase is accounted for by the fact that during this period the German Federal Republic’s share rose from 4.5 per cent, to 7.1 per cent. The share of Great Britain is 11 1 per cent., and that of France 5 6 per cent.—Bonn.
