Evacuation After 47 Days In Port Said

(Rec. 10 p.m.) PORT SAID, December 22. British and French forces today completed their evacuation of Port Said.
The last British and French troops pulled out after their 47-day operation in Egypt under a protective umbrella of Allied fighter aircraft and the guns of Allied naval vessels.
Men of the United Nations Emergency Force formed a buffer between the allies half-mile square area of bridgehead and the rest of the city.
