Cigarette Sales Up.—Sales of cigarettes in the United States went up again in 1956. according to the ’‘Business Week” survey, based on the first nine-months’ figures and estimates for the final quarter. The year’s consumption is estimated at 392,000.000.000 cigarettes, a gain of 2.6 per cent, over the 1955 consumption.—New York, December 22.
