MONTHLY WEATHER STATISTICS
Monthly weather statistics as collated by the Department of Agriculture. Christchurch, for November are as follows:—Waimate—2.6Bin of rain on 19 days. Overcast and humid weather with thunderstorms. One frost. Timaru—l.8 n in on 17 days. One frost. Ashburton—4.47jn on 10 days. Weather mainly overcast and mild, with nc frosts. The wettest spring since 1952 Sunshine low and soil temperatures lower than at this time last year Christchurch —'2.46 in, of which 2.38 m fell in the first and last weeks of the month- Rainfall 60 per cent, above average, and the month was moist and mild. Rangiora—s.l3in on 12 days. Weather throughout the district very variable, as many thunderstorms were experienced during the montn. Blenheim —2.34 in on 14 days, temperatures moderate to warm, although somewhat variable. Conditions more humid than usual. Nelson —4.2 in on 24 days. Dull, wet and cool. No frosts recorded, but only a few fine days. Westport—ll.2oin on 22 days, with heaviest fall of 2.02 in on November 5.
