Quiet End To Year’s Trading
The year’s trading ended quietly on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Eight parcels, representing five share issues, were traded. Two issues sold at higher prices and two sold lower than in last local business.
Ampol responded to the announcement of the new issue by selling at 10s Id, 4d above the last local price. Wright Stephenson firmed to sell at 375.
Commercial Bank of Australia and Taupo Totara sou. at lower prices. Again no business was done in Government stock.
