YOUTH DIES OF INJURIES
TRUCK AND MOTORCYCLE COLLIDE

GREYMOUTH, December 21
A young man died in Greymouth Hospital tonight as the result of injuries received when his motor-cycle and a truck collided on the Grey-mouth-Reefton Highway at 6.30 p.m. today. He was Keith Broughton, aged 18. of Ikamatua.
Mr Broughton was admitted to the Greymouth Hospital suffering from head injuries, and died shortly after
After the collision the truck, driven by Mr Vivian Goodall, of Greymouth left the highway, rolled over a 40ft bank and came to rest on the Ma tai road below. The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions at the time.
The two men were taken to hospital by the Blackball ambulance, and Mr Goodall, after receiving treatment, was later discharged.
