DAMAGED COASTER SOLD

AUCKLAND, December 17. The Northern Steamship Company’s coaster Clansman has been bought by Charles Bailey and Son, Ltd., Auckland boat builders.
The wooden vessel grounded at Whakatane last May and was later towed to Auckland. The Northern Steamship Company called for tenders for extensive repairs, estimated to cost £19,000. but none w r as accepted. General repairs will begin after the Christmas holidays.
