BRABIN TOURNAMENT TEAM
The Canterbury Cricket Association selectors (Messrs W. E, Mappiebeck, F. G. Hobbs, and R. G. Knowles), have chosen the following side to represent Canterbury in the Brabin Shield tournament at Dunedin from December 28 to January 3:— G. T. Dowling, captain, and G. K. Austin (West Christchurch), J. D. Capstick (East Christchurch), D. Woods (West High School Old Boys), N. Smith (Technical College Old Boys), K. Thomson (West Christchurch High School). J. Ward (South Canterbury), D. Hill and R. H. Prouting (Boys’ High School), A. F. Rapley (North Canterbury), J. M. H. Dawson (Old Collegians), R. Cole (Suburban). Mr R. G. Knowles will accompany the team as manager. The above players are asked to attend At Hagley oval at 5 p.m. tonight, wet or fine, for the issue of caps and to finalise travelling arrangements. —Advt.
