FIVE TUBERCULOSIS CASES

Five cases of tuberculosis were notified in the Christchurch health district for the week ending December 15, according to the list of notifiable diseases issued by the Department of Health yesterday. Altogether 10 cases of diseases were notified in Christchurch but there were no notifications in the Greymouth district. The other cases were two of pemphigus neonatorum, a staphylococcal skin disease in babies, two of hydatids and one of salmonellosis. There was one death from hydatids in the Christchurch district. .
