DEATH SENTENCE ON BOLTON

NOTICE OF APPEAL LODGED

(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, December 17. Notice that he will appeal against sentence of death was lodged by Walter James Bolton, aged 68, a farm manager, in the Court of Appeal in Wellington today. Bolton was sentenced to death by Mr Justice K. M. Gresson in the Supreme Court at Wanganui on December 6 after being found guilty of the murder of his wire, Beatrice Mabel Bolton, by the administration of arsenic. It is unlikely that the appeal will be held until next month.
