GAMING CHARGES

TWENTY-SIX MEN FINED (New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, December 17. Twenty-six men were fined in the Napier Magistrate’s Court this morning, when they pleaded guilty, before Mr W. A. Harlow, S.M., to charges of being found in a common gaminghouse. Five of the men with previous similar convictions were fined £5, and the other 21, all first offenders, were fined £3 10s. The men were arrested after a police raid on a recreation hall at the Whakatu freezing works last Thursday night.
