RARATONGAN MURDER APPEAL
FULL COURT RESERVES DECISION (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 12. The Full Court reserved its decision on an appeal by Rima Kuranki, aged 26, a Raratongan labourer, against his conviction for murdering a 27-year-old married woman in Raratonga on September 10. Kurariki had been found guilty in the High Court before Judge Kay and six assessors of shooting her with a double-barrelled shotgun, and had been sentenced to death.
