POLICE LECTURES TO SCHOOL CHILDREN
WELLINGTON BOARD TO MEET MR BARNETT (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 12. The Wellington Education Board decided last night to send a committee to the Controller-General of Police (Mr S. T. Barnett) to discuss proposals to have constables explain the functions of the force to school children. A motion that the board did not favour the encroachment of constables on tH-e educational curriculum of schoot, was lost by six votes to two.
