CHILD DROWNED IN OLD MINE SHAFT
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, December 12. Catherine Mary Ryan, aged two years, a daughter of Mr and Mrs William Henry Ryan, of Camerons, was found drowned in the bottom of an old mining shaft near her father’s home early this afternoon. The child had apparently wandered from her home. She was found by a member of the family.
