HOUSEWIVES’ UNION RESOLUTION

“The Canterbury Housewives’ Union stands by its belief in the need for peaceful negotiation of international disputes and urges the SecretaryGeneral of the United Nations (Mr Dag Hammarskjold) to rse his good offices to this end concerning both Egypt and Hungary.” said a resolution carried unanimously at a recent meeting of the union.

At this conference of renresentatives of 19 organisations, a Federation of New Zealand Housewives was formed.
