SIX TUBERCULOSIS CASES
HEALTH DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATIONS Six cases of tuberculosis were reported in the Christchurch district for the week ending November 17, according to the list of notifiable diseases issued by the Department of Health yesterday. Altogether there were 14 notifications for Christchurch. As well as the tuberculosis cases there were four cases of pemphigus neonatorum, the staphylococcal skin disease in babies, and one case of hydatid cyst reported. Only one notification was made for the Greymouth area—a case of tuberculosis. There were no deaths from notifiable diseases reported for either the Christchurch or the Greymouth districts.
