McKenzie Trust Makes Grants Totalling £27,150

WELLINGTON. October 19. I Grants totalling £27.150 were made I at a meeting of the J. R. McKenzie Trust Board in Wellington this week. ; A condition of the grants made by i the board is that they must be spent '■ within 12 months of their receipt. The grants bring the total amount i distributed since the trust’s inception I to £135.650. It was decided to establish a Mc(Kenzie Cancer Research Fellowship, and a grant of £l6OO was made to ! the Cancer Campaign Society for this I purpose. j Sir John Hott, who was re-elected ! chairman of the board, referred to • the death of Ladv McKenzie. It was not generally known, he said, that the setting up of the J. R. McKenzie Trust had been one of the ideals of Ladv McKenzie. The board’s sympathy with members of the family was recorded.
