Russia May Use Ship To House Athletes
(N Z Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE. June 29. It was possible that Russia would send a big merchant ship to Melbourne during the Olympic Games as an accomodation centre, the Navy Minister (Senator Neil O'Sullivan) said today. Senator O’Sullivan would add nothing to this comment but a spokesman for the Melbourne Harbour Trust Commission which will handle the berthing of shipping during the fames said that no definite bookings Lad yet been made for the games period.
The spokesman said that the commission had not been told of any intention by Russia to use a ship as an accommodation centre.
