IMPERIAL PREFERENCE
Sir, —I note a tendency to brand a person Anglophobe if he is not in agreement with everything England does oi* says. Experience nas taught me to beware of persons who are loud in proclaiming their patriotism. I should not place much reliance in such persons in the event of a “showdown.”. Was it not Samuel Johnson who said. “Patriotism is the refuge of a scoundrel”? —Yours, etc., SOUTHRON. I June 21, 1956.
