Dr. Maurice Watts. Moderator of the International Congregational Council, Britain, wil] pay a two-day visit to Christchurch next month. Accompanied by Mrs Watts, he will arrive from Timaru on July 28, and will leave for Wellington on July 30. Dr. Watts will preach the sermon at Trinity Congregational Church at the morning service on July 29 and at the Linwood Congregational Church in the evening.
C. W. Smith (director) and Dr. J. B. Hair (a member of the staff), of the botany division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, have accepted appointments as honorary lecturers at Canterbury Agricultural College. Lincoln. The Rev. N. J. Kellv. vicar of the parochial district of West Lyttelton, which includes Governor’s Bay, Teddington. and Diamond Harbour, will return to Britain early next month. Mr Kelly came tn the diocese of Christchurch in 1950 from England, where he had been vicar of St. John the Baptist’s Church, Westfield.
