Successful Campaign Fleur found her niche on rainaffected tracks at Wingatui. where she won a double for her Riccarton ownertrainer. C. L. Austin. Each time she came from the rear It was fairly close to home before she reached the lead in the St. Clair Handicap on the first day. but last Saturday she had the Aidworth Handicap won near the furlong. Her weight of 9st 21b. rather than special merits of any of her opponents, was expected to trouble the Massowa mare, but she made light of it. Masai’s win in the Domain Handicap on Saturday—also his second and fourth in his previous starts at the meeting—made the Wingatui campaign worth-while for Mr Auatin.
